A new generation of bowie knives. Designed to be powerful choppers, keen cutters, and easily lashed to a pole to make formidable spears for survival situations. Hammered and squeezed from one solid piece of tool steel and tested rigorously. Adventure with the confidence that this blade will guard you through the most intense situations imaginable. Blade, guard and handle are forged by hand from one solid piece of W-1 high-carbon tool steel. It is deceptively comfortable, perfectly balanced, with absolutely no weakness. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, this “chain” has only one link, and that link is one solid piece of professionally heat-treated perfection.

This hand forged Bowie knife will come with a hand-tooled leather sheath with luxurious hand-stitched seems, burnished edges and made from premium 6-8 oz veg tan saddle-grade leather.

Remember to select Add a Leather Sheath! It will be shipped with a simple protective cardboard sleeve regardless.

This unique design is Inspired by the knives wielded by the frontiersmen and First Peoples of the 18th and 19th century North America.

W-1 tool steel is very similar to 1095 steel. The only difference is that when W-1 is manufactured at the steel mill it is more consistent in heat-treating characteristics from batch to batch. 1095 and W-1 perform equally when propperly heat treated. I like to use W-1 because it is easy to source in round bars. Round bars are essential when forging integral knives like this. I use 1095 when I forge Damascus steel because it is easiest to source as flat bars ideal for pattern welding.
